SEASIDE explores distance, looking, and temporary displacement through the physical form of a photographic publication.
Throughout the publication, images appear in different sizes and positions, surrounded by generous areas of white space. Despite these variations, the horizon lines maintain a quiet connection, as if an invisible coastline runs through the pages.
The publication combines cotton paper with translucent tracing paper. Selected images are reduced in scale and printed on tracing paper, overlaying the photographs beneath. As the pages turn, images overlap, emerge, and separate. Moments from different times briefly coexist, creating a dreamlike experience somewhere between clarity and obscurity.
Together, the paper, images, and empty spaces create a slow, recurring rhythm of looking. Turning the pages becomes an experience of distance, time, and perception.
